City 8-Ball Pool League Information

The league will play on Monday nights at 7 p.m.  Preseason will begin on Monday, September 16, 2024. We will have two weeks of preseason games. This will allow locations enough time to be prepared for the regular season. Regular season will begin immediately after preseason games are completed (9/30/24). Players are required to pay their weekly league dues of $4.00 during preseason, regular season, and playoff season.  Team wins won in preseason will not be counted towards regular season standings.  Individual wins will be paid for preseason, regular season and playoff wins.

During regular season each team will play against every other team once home and once away.  We will not schedule on holidays.  Every team qualifies to play in the playoffs.  The schedule will be determined by the final regular season standings.  We will play single elimination in playoffs. Higher seeded teams will have the home team advantage.

Weekly stats will be sent via text to all captains to have on league night.  All players will be able to access weekly stats on the website www.parkaveamusements.com as well as on the Facebook group, City 8-Ball Pool League - Park Ave Amusements. We will be using our Facebook group to communicate with each other throughout the season!

Each location will be provided with a packet of supplies for the league. Please leave the packet at your location. At the end of every evening the home team captain will be responsible for taking a picture of the scoresheet and texting it to Kelly at 814-350-5474.  Both team captains need to sign scoresheet and envelope and verify all dues were collected from their players and turned into the bartender.  Included in the packet you will find a team roster form. This needs to be filled out and turned in by the first two weeks of regular season.

The league recognition banquet will be held at the location of the winning team if that location is large enough to accommodate the number of players in the league. All league money minus league supplies and banquet expenses will be given back to the players and will be paid back based upon individual wins.  Players are paid back for their wins at the end of the league at the player recognition banquet. INDIVIDUAL wins are paid back for preseason, regular season and playoff wins.

Plaques will also be awarded to the 1st & 2nd place teams. A trophy will be awarded to the Top Shooter.  Certificates will be awarded to the top 3 players and are based upon regular season stats only (Does not include wins earned in preseason or playoffs). We do this to ensure the players with the higher stats will not have the disadvantage if their team goes out early in the playoffs. We will also recognize the player with the most 8-Ball Run-outs and 8 on the break.

*If you sink the 8 on the break you win $8.00 automatically.  The $8.00 is to be paid out of the dues money collected that night and documented on the scoresheet by captains.

Last year we unexpectedly lost our dear friend Ed Carlini at the league championship game.  In memory of Ed, each year we will recognize one pool player that shows exceptional sportsmanship.  This award will be presented at the player recognition banquet.   Please submit a nomination at any time during the season to Kelly at 814-350-5474, email paamuse@gmail.com or fill out the enclosed nomination form and submit with your weekly scoresheet.

Thank you for participating in the City 8-Ball Pool League.  We are looking forward to another great season!
